It is my pleasure to welcome you to the PEMA new website. PEMA is a pioneering institution of the Ministry of International Cooperation. It conducts impact evaluations of developmental projects implemented in Egypt and financed fully or partially through Official Development Assistance (ODA). PEMA also prepares and disseminates different policy-oriented research assignments and supports the coordination of the development aid with Egypt’s Development Partners in order to achieve aid effectiveness and harmonization. Thus, the centre helps in revealing the extent to which projects, which are funded by our development partners, are successful in attaining their objectives and contributes to highlighting what sectors need more investment and where are the challenges to overcome. In this context, the website is designed to answer practitioners, policymakers and all those concerned with the latest developments in project evaluation and public policies studies. I hope you will find the information and references posted here of benefit to you or your institution.
